How to share internet from mobile to computer using USB tethering?
At times, we may need to share internet connection from mobile phone to a computer. If its a laptop, use Wireless Hotspot to share internet from mobile phone to the laptop. But if its a desktop computer, then USB tethering may be used. Such situations may arise when you are away from your home Wi-Fi, and the only source of internet if your phone.
To access internet on a computer/laptop using the data connection of an Android Phone, we can use USB Tethering.

Here are the steps in detail. The exact menu or steps may be different on different phones. The following menu is as per Samsung Galaxy Grand Android Phone.
- Enable Data Connection
- On the Android Device, go to settings
- Find Wireless and Networks
- Select 'Tithering and Portable Hotspot'
- Connect the phone to the USB port of the computer
- Some drivers might get installed if connecting for the first time
- A local area connection is created and connects to the internet
