This is a continuation to the previous post (Setting up twitterfeed to auto post blog updates to Twitter) where I discussed how to use an online service called "twitterfeed" to post blog updates to Twitter automatically.

In this post, we will discuss how to setup "twitterfeed" to post blog updates to Facebook account or Facebook Pages automatically. For that, you need to setup an account on "twitterfeed" first.

Creating a new feed service on TwitterFeed:

  • Go to twitterfeed.com and create an account if not already created.
  • After signing in, at the Dashboard, click on "Create a new feed".
  • Provide the Name for the feed and add the Blog URL or RSS Feed URL.
  • Click "Test RSS Feed"
  • If everything is okay, you will see a message "Feed parsed OK".

Settings:
  • Click on "Advanced Settings" to set "Update Frequency", number of posts at a time etc.
  • By default URL Shortening service used is "bit.ly". You may also use "TinyURL".
  • After you are satisfied with the settings, click continue to step 2.
Choosing Services: Facebook Account or Facebook Page
  • To auto publish new blog posts to Facebook, click on Facebook from the "Available Services".
  • Click on the "Connect With Facebook" button to authenticate the Facebook Account.
  • Once authenticated, your Facebook Account appears in the Authenticated Account dropdown area.
  • Below you will see a dropdown button which lists all the Facebook Pages you manage.
  • Choose a Facebook Page to publish your feed to its wall, or leave blank to publish to your Facebook account wall.

Note:
To post to your Facebook account wall: Leave Blank
To post to a particular Facebook Page: Choose the Facebook Page from the drop-down list.

  • Click on "Create Service"

Your blog updates will be posted to your Facebook Account or Facebook Page depending on the setting you applied in services.

Update:
TwitterFeed has shut down. A message on their website displays:

Attention: Twitterfeed has shut its doors as of Oct. 31st; Please transition your account to another service. We recommend dlvr.it. Thanks for all the feeds!

Here are the alternative services you can consider instead of TwitterFeed. Some of them are free and some are paid ones. You can explore the best alternative for twitterfeed.com.
If you were also using TwitterFeed and now using something else, do let me know which one you are using to auto publish content to Social Media in the comments below. Thanks.
