How to turn on and use Facebook Timeline Review to prevent posts or photos you're tagged in appear on your Facebook Timeline?

Most of us may have faced a situation where we been tagged to an embarrassing photo on Facebook? Are you looking for a way to prevent such from happening? "Timeline Review" is the answer.

So if you ask how Facebook's Timeline Review can help, it is because Timeline review lets you choose whether posts you're tagged in appear on your Timeline. When people you’re not friends with tag you in a post, they automatically go to Timeline review. If you'd also like to review tags by friends, you can turn on Timeline review for tags from anyone. It is recommended to enable timeline review for anyone if you do not want to take any chance. It give you the control what to show up on your Facebook Timeline.

To turn on Timeline review on Facebook, do the following:

  1. Click the down arrow at the top right of any Facebook page
  2. Select Settings
  3. In the left column, click Timeline and Tagging
  4. Look for the setting Review posts friends tag you in before they appear on your Timeline? and click Edit to the far right
  5. Select Enabled from the dropdown menu

Now, any photos or posts that you are tagged with will appear in a “Pending Posts” along the top of your profile page. You can approve or disapprove those posts from Timeline Review by choosing to "Show In Timeline" or "Hidden From Timeline".

How to access Facebook Timeline Review:
  • Go to you Facebook Profile Page
  • Click on the "View Activity Log" at the bottom of your Facebook Cover photo
  • Click on "Timeline Review" from the left sidebar
OR
  • Click the down arrow at the top right of any Facebook page
  • Click "Activity Log"
  •  Click on "Timeline Review" from the left sidebar

Now, you are more in control of what appears on your Facebook wall.
