How to backup Sticky Notes in Windows?
Sticky Notes is a handy program to take notes on your computer. While there are various flavors of it on the internet to download and install, it also comes along with Windows 7 operating system. If you have a Tablet PC or a touchscreen, Windows 7 Sticky Notes support pen and touch input, too—you can even switch between different input methods within the space of a single note. Sticky Notes is available only in the Home Premium, Professional, and Ultimate editions of Windows 7.
Sticky Notes File Location in Windows
Windows stores sticky notes in a folder inside the appdata folder, which is normally -
C:\Users\logon\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes - where logon is the name of the user logged in to Windows.
Inside the Sticky Notes folder, there would be one file- StickyNotes.snt, which contains all your notes.

How to backup Sticky Notes?
If you have a lot of notes taken, you may want to backup your notes when you reformat or move the same copies to another computer. To backup Stickey Notes, do the following:
- Go to the location "C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes"
- Copy the file "StickyNotes.snt"
- On the destination computer, close Sticky Notes if it is already running.
- Go to the location "C:\Users\your-user-name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Sticky Notes"
- Paste the "StickyNotes.snt" file you backed up and replace the existing one.
- Start Sticky Notes.
