How to resolve - Blogger's Google Adsense not appearing on mobile devices.
Many bloggers choose to signup with Google Adsense to show ads to earn some revenue. Nowadays, there are a huge number of internet users using mobile devices, and it is expected to increase more. Bloggers cannot ignore this segment of users. So, Blogger templates on mobile devices should show ads properly. In this post we shall discuss, how to show Google Adsense on Blogger sites to show on mobile devices in case you have observed that Adsense shows on desktop but does not show on mobile device.
Setting up Adsense on the Google's Blogger platform is pretty easy. Now if you have done that and Google Adsense is displaying on desktop, that's great. But if Google Adsense Ads are not showing up on mobile devices, then you should check a few things below.
These locations are basically where you need to play around with to make Adsense work they way you desire.
1. Check settings at: Blogger Dashboard > Template
- Login to Blogger and navigate to Blogger Dashboard > Template
- Here you will see a small gear icon below the mobile template. Click on it.
- Select the first option: show mobile template on mobile devices.
- Choose a template.
Note:
- If you are using a template other than Blogger's that is not responsive, better use one of the templates for mobile by Blogger for best performance.
- Dynamic Templates for mobile also might causes Adsense not to show up. Not recommended for mobile.
2. Check settings at: Blogger > Earnings
- Check Earnings section in the dashboard.
- If you have not setup/associated this blog with Adsense, it will ask you to.
- If you already have, check if "Show Ads on blog" is checked.
After checking the above two settings required to display Google Adsense properly on mobile devices, check if the Google Adsense appears on mobile devices.
- Open your browser on your mobile device and type in your blog's address.
- On mobile devices, Google should redirect you to http://bloggerblogname.blogspot.com/?m=1 on your mobile device's browser to load mobile template.
- See if ads have appeared on top of the screen and at the bottom.
When we enable Adsense following the procedure above, Blogger automatically adds an Adsense widget and also enables "show ads between posts". You can check this at: Blogger Dashboard> Layout > Blog Posts widget >Edit. Google Adsense ads should start appearing on mobile devices too.
NOTE:
Now, here is the thing:
I have played around with these option and confirmed that for Adsense to show with "Show ads on Blog" enabled, there should be at least one Adsense widget added from Blogger's ADD WIDGET. If you are adding Adsense ONLY from Google Adsense by picking the Adsense code and placing it within "HTML/JAVASCRIPT" widgets, then the ads will not show up on mobile devices. The ads on desktop will work alright though.
So the conclusion is:
1) If you want to enable Google Adsense on Blogger from within Blogger as described in Step 1 and 2, by enabling ""Show ads on Blog"", then have at least one Adsene widget by adding Blogger's Adsense widget for Google Adsense Ads to show on mobile devices.

2) If you want to place Google Adsense code manually in HTML/JAVASCRIPT widgets, then disable "Show ads on Blog" described in Step 2 above. Then add HTML/JAVASCRIPT widgets and place Google Adsense codes in them.
