How to fix Selfie Sticks not working with Mi Redmi Android Phones?
If you have an Mi Redmi Android phone and you are not able to use your Selfie Stick with Mi Redmi Android Phones, then check out the video how to fix it. This post applies to wired selfie sticks and not Bluetooth selfie sticks.
There are a few places you may need to change settings. This is because wired selfie sticks use the volume key function to take pictures. The video may also be useful to resolve similar issue with other smartphone models.
How to test if your smartphone can use a wired selfie stick or not?
Selfie sticks uses the volume button control to tell the phone to take
pictures. So the phone should be able to take pictures with the volume
buttons even without a selfie stick. This applies to any smartphone. If the
phone is not taking pictures with the volume buttons, configure the
phone's camera settings.
- Open your camera app on your Android Phone and explore the settings.
- Check if there is a settings called "Volume Key Function".
If there is, then the "Volume Key Function" should be set to "Take Pictures" or "Capture" or something like that (depends on the phone model's menu".
If there is no "Volume Key Function" settings on your camera app, then unfortunately, the phone cannot use a selfie stick. Because, the button on the selfie stuck triggers the volume key to take pictures.
