How to workaround the issue of Visual Studio un installation error in Windows
After troubleshooting this issue for hours, found McAfee Antivirus was interfering with the setup.
Steps to uninstall:
- Open McAfee VirusScan Console - Click on the McAfee icon in the task pane (bottom right corner) > Manage Features > VirusScan Enterprise
- From the VirusScan Enterprise Console: Disable "Access Protection"
The "Access Protection" will get auto enabled after some time. Keep watching this when uninstalling.
- Uninstall Visual Studio. Make sure the Access Protection is still disabled when you start uninstall.
