CamStudio – Unable to find the CamStudio videos recorded? How to Change CamStudio Recording Directory?

Are you not able to find the desktop screen recording video you just made using CamStudio? Worry not. It is there, somewhere on your computer. By default, CamStudio recording videos are saved to the Windows temporary files directory.
This is specified in CamStudio > Options > Program Options > Directory for recording > Use Windows Temporary Directory.


You can find the recordings in c:/Windows/temp or by typing “%Temp%”  in the RUN prompt.

HOW TO CHANGE THE CAMSTUDIO RECORDING DIRECTORY:
To change the CamStudio recording directory, do the following:

• On the CamStudio file menu, go to OPTIONS > PROGRAM OPTIONS > DIRECTORY FOR RECORDING
• Select third option – USE USER SPECIFIED DIRECTORY
• Select a directory of your choice to use 
• Future recordings will be stored there.
