Most of our computer keyboards comes with Standard US keyboard layout. And it is not possible to type Hindi characters from our regular keyboard unless we install Hindi keyboard input. If you need to convert English words to Hindi character, there are tools online that converts English characters to Hindi character. Instead of online tools, if you are looking for offline Hindi typing tools, see here: How to Type in Hindi Using English Keyboard on Windows (Google Hindi Input Tools Example)?

The following are some online tools which I have personally used that can help in conversion of English characters to Hindi characters.

English Characters to Hindi Characters conversion (not translation):

Just type in English in the text box. The English words typed in the text box are converted to Hindi characters as soon as SPACE is pressed. So English characters are converted to Hindi characters as you type with spaces in between. This is not a translator, meaning, if you type "Hello" it will type hello in Hindi characters. It will not type "Namaste (??????)" - hello in Hindi.

In the screenshot below, Hindi typed in the text box is converted to it's Hindi characters equivalent after pressing SPACE.
