If you are looking for a way to manually backup and restore WhatsApp from one phone to another, then this is how to do it.

WhatsApp's default folder is "whatsapp" in the phone's "internal storagel (i.e. internal storage >whatsapp). This is the directory
where Whatsapp keeps its backups. Inside the Whatsapp diretory are few folders such as backups, database, profile pictures and media. The files you receive and send in WhatsApp are saved in the WhatsApp > Media folder.

In a nutshell, to manually backup WhatsApp entirely, you just have to copy the WhatsApp folder and put it in the new phone in the same location i.e. "Internal storage > WhatsApp".

Backing up WhatsApp and restoring using your computer:
1. Connect your old phone to your computer using a USB cable.
2. Open the phone's internal storage from the computer
3. Copy "WhatsApp" folder
4. Save it to some location on your computer
5. Disconnect the phone from the computer
6. Connect your new phone to the computer using the USB cable
7. Open the new phone's internal storage from the computer
8. Check if "WhatsApp" folder is already there, from previous installation. If so, delete it.
9. Copy the "WhatsApp" folder you saved to the computer in step 3&4.
10. Put it in the phone's internal storage
11.Disconnect the phone.
12. Install WhatsApp on the new phone and the backup will be detected during install. If WhatsApp is already installed, delete the account from WhatsApp > Settings > Delete my Account. Then restart WhatsApp and continue setting up your number. Backup will be detected during the process.

OR
Clear WhatsApp's data from phone settings >applications>WhatsApp >clear data. Then reopen WhatsApp and continue to setup your mobile number. Backup will be detected during the process.
